If you are already employed, or are about to start a new role, TASS can support you throughout your employment.

Support for Employees

How we can support you in work:

  • Task-Switching and Organisation

Prioritising and organising your tasks can be challenging and overwhelming! Your TASS support worker can assess and organise your tasks with you, making sure that you feel comfortable and capable with your workload.

  • Planning your working day

We will work alongside you to create daily, weekly, even monthly plans for your working day, incorporating all key aspects of your role, as well as breaks and down-time! With our easy-to-follow plans and timetables, you’ll get the most out of your working day.

  • Attending Meetings

Whether it’s a quick catch-up with your team, or a one-to-one with your manager, meetings can be overwhelming! Your support worker can attend these meetings with you, to take notes, recommend breaks, and assist with communication. We can also debrief with you afterwards!

  • Breaking Down Information

In a work environment, it can be hard to gather and process information, especially if it changes or develops. Your support worker will work closely with you, helping to pick up and clarify information.

  • Effective Communication

There are many styles of communication in a workplace, and not all of these work for everybody! Your TASS support worker can help you to understand communication styles, advise on how to communicate in different scenarios, and ensure that you feel as comfortable and capable as possible at work.

  • Note-Taking and Reminders

Keeping track of notes and reminders can be a significant challenge. Our team will work with you to develop customised systems that fit your needs, ensuring that you stay organised, remember key details, and manage your tasks with ease. Let us help you streamline your workflow and enhance your productivity.

  • Seren Carter, Autistic Minds

"I feel like my professional life has changed for the greater good I am now able to greet customers and deal with customers problems. I can take my own initiative and solve problems independently but also knowing the support is there when i need it as they are always around checking in. I feel my self-esteem has improved as i feel better in myself knowing I am able to be professional in a workplace where adjustments have been made by support workers to suit my needs. I do not feel the need to mask which can be draining and feel more comfortable being myself. They have made an environment where i can completely be myself and not feel ashamed of my autism and look at the positives it brings me."

  • LD, Autistic Minds

"TASS support in work has been super valuable and greatly appreciated, nothing is too much trouble for them and if they cannot help you, they will redirect you to someone who can. I cannot ask for better support in work, they are superstars."

  • "Employment helps me to feel productive and help to establish a wider routine for my day to day life. Support in the workplace has helped me to feel validated in my thoughts and empowered to be able to make my own decisions about my work, keeping me grounded while doing so."
